The DirecTV SD-DVRs are Standard Definition receivers that also offer DVR functions. They allow access to all SD channels DirecTV offers.

*The R22 is now discontinued. It was an HD-DVR locked to SD reception only. Recently they allowed accounts that have [[HDAccess HD Access]] enabled to use the R22 as a regular [[HDDVR HD-DVR]] receiver.
